ۖ ۖ ۚ اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَامًا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ

اعْلَمُوا

Know
أَنَّمَا

that
الْحَيَاةُ
al-hayatu
the life
الدُّنْيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
لَعِبٌ
la'ibun
(is) play
وَلَهْوٌ
walahwun
and amusement
وَزِينَةٌ
wazinatun
and adornment
وَتَفَاخُرٌ
watafakhurun
and boasting
بَيْنَكُمْ
baynakum
among you
وَتَكَاثُرٌ
watakathurun
and competition in increase
فِي
fi
of
الْأَمْوَالِ
al-amwali
the wealth
وَالْأَوْلَادِ
wal-awladi
and the children
كَمَثَلِ
kamathali
like (the) example
غَيْثٍ
ghaythin
(of) a rain
أَعْجَبَ
a'jaba
pleases
الْكُفَّارَ
al-kufara
the tillers
نَبَاتُهُ
nabatuhu
its growth
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يَهِيجُ
yahiju
it dries
فَتَرَاهُ
fatarahu
and you see it
مُصْفَرًّا
mus'farran
turning yellow
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يَكُونُ
yakunu
becomes
حُطَامًا
hutaman
debris
وَفِي
wafi
And in
الْآخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
شَدِيدٌ
shadidun
severe
وَمَغْفِرَةٌ
wamaghfiratun
and forgiveness
مِّنَ
mina
from
اللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَرِضْوَانٌ
warid'wanun
and Pleasure
وَمَا
wama
But not
الْحَيَاةُ
al-hayatu
(is) the life
الدُّنْيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَتَاعُ
mata'u
(the) enjoyment
الْغُرُورِ
al-ghururi
(of) delusion
