وَكَذَلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ

وَكَذَلِكَ

And thus

أَرْسَلْنَا

We sent
مِن

before you
قَبْلِكَ
qablika
before you
فِي

قَرْيَةٍ
qaryatin
a town
مِّن

نَّذِيرٍ
nadhirin
warner
إِلَّا

except
قَالَ

مُتْرَفُوهَا
mut'rafuha
(the) wealthy ones of it
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed, we
وَجَدْنَا
wajadna
[we] found
آبَاءَنَا
abaana
our forefathers
عَلَى
ala
on
أُمَّةٍ
ummatin
a religion
وَإِنَّا
wa-inna
and indeed, we
عَلَى
ala
[on]
آثَارِهِم
atharihim
their footsteps
مُّقْتَدُونَ
muq'taduna
