3. DATA COLLECTED

3.1 Account Data

When you create an account:

Email address: for identification and communication
Password: stored in encrypted form (we do not have access to it)
First name (optional): to personalize your experience
Profile picture (optional): to personalize your account

If you use Google sign-in, we receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google.

3.2 Location Data

With your consent, we collect:

GPS coordinates: to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction
City name: to display your location

This data is cached locally on your device for up to 24 hours. If you deny GPS access, approximate geolocation by IP address may be used.

3.3 Voice Data

When you use the pronunciation assessment feature:

Audio recordings: limited to 30 seconds maximum
Processing: automatic analysis to assess your pronunciation
Retention: none – recordings are deleted immediately after analysis

Important: We do not retain any recording of your voice. Audio files are processed in real-time and then permanently deleted.

3.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

Learning progress: surahs studied, verses practiced, scores obtained
Favorites: verses, hadiths, and duas you mark as favorites
Preferences: language, preferred reciter, notification settings
Statistics: learning time, consecutive days of use

Al Muslim Plus Intelligent Assistant

Our application includes an intelligent assistant designed to answer your questions related to Islam, the Quran, hadiths, and religious practice. When you use this feature, certain data is transmitted to our service in order to generate a response tailored to your request.

Data collected when using the assistant:

The text of your question
Your language preference (to respond in the appropriate language)
A temporary session identifier (to maintain the context of the ongoing conversation)
Your approximate geographic location, only if you have previously granted location access (used to contextualize certain responses, for example prayer times)

Data processing:

Your questions are analyzed by our service, which relies on third-party artificial intelligence technologies, in combination with a verified Islamic knowledge base. Your data may therefore be transmitted to AI service providers solely for the purpose of processing your questions. No data from your interactions with the assistant is sold or transmitted to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

Consent:

Before using the intelligent assistant, your explicit consent is requested. You are free to refuse, in which case no data will be transmitted to the artificial intelligence service. This consent can be withdrawn at any time by resetting the application data.

To ensure proper functioning of the Application:

Select the « Delete my account » option
Confirm your request
Your account will be deleted immediately

Subject: « Account deletion request »
Include the email address of your account
Confirm your wish to delete all your data

User profile (email, name, photo)
Complete learning progress
All your favorites
Preferences and settings
Synchronization history

Deletion via the Application: immediate.

Deletion by email: within a maximum of 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email.

10. DATA SECURITY
