After dressing

الحمدُ للهِ الّذي كَساني هذا (الثّوب) وَرَزَقَنيه مِنْ غَـيـْرِ حَولٍ مِنّي وَلا قـوّة

All Praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, with no power nor might from myself.

The Prophet (saw) would prostrate in gratitude to Allah (swt) upon receiving news which pleased him or which caused pleasure.

إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدَكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِماً فَلْيَصِلَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِراً فَلْيَطْعَمْ. وَمَعَنَى فَليَصِلَ أَي فَلْيَدَعَ.

‘If you are not invited (to a meal) then answer. If you happen to be fasting, then supplicate (for those present) and if you are not fasting, then eat.’

اللّهُـمَّ لَـكَ الحَـمْـدُ أنْـتَ كَسَـوْتَنيهِ، أََسْأََلُـكَ مِـنْ خَـيرِهِ وَخَـيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَـه، وَأَعوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ شَـرِّهِ وَشَـرِّ مـا صُنِعَ لَـهُ

O Allah, for You is all praise, You have clothed me with it (i.e. the garment), I ask You for the good of it and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of it and the evil for which it was made.

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ العُرُوْقُ، وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ

‘The thirst has gone and the veins are quenched, and reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.’

تُبْـلي وَيُـخْلِفُ اللهُ تَعَالى

May you wear it out and Allah تعالى replace it (with another).’ The intended meaning: A supplication for long life.

الحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيْهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْل ٍ مِنِّي وَلا قُوَّة.ٍ

‘All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might nor power from myself.’

وَفيكَ بارَكَ الله

May Allah bless you all.

اللَّهمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيْمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ.

‘O Allah, bless for them, that which You have provided them, forgive them and have mercy upon them.’

اللَّهمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِي، وَاسْقِ مَنْ سَقَانِي

‘O Allah, feed him who fed me, and provide with drink him who provided me with drink.’

جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرا.ً

‘If someone does you a favour and you say: ‘May Allah reward you with goodness.’…then you have indeed excelled in praising him.’

أَحَبَّكَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَنِي لَهُ

‘May He, for whom you have loved me, love you.’

بارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ في أَهْلِكَ وَمالِك

May Allah bless for you, your family and wealth.

بارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ في أَهْلِكَ وَمالِك، إِنَّما جَـزاءُ السَّلَفِ الْحَمْدُ والأَداء

May Allah bless for you, your family and wealth. Surely commendation and payment are the reward for a loan.

بَارَكَ اللَّه ُُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْر.ٍ

‘May Allah bless for you (your spouse) and bless you, and may He unite both of you in goodness.’

أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُوْنَ وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الأَبْرَارُ، وَصَلَّتْ عَلَيْكُمُ المَلائِكَةُ

‘May the fasting break their fast in your home, and may the dutiful and pious eat your food, and may the angles send prayers upon you.’
