Getting dressed is a daily act we do without thinking. Yet Islam transforms every daily gesture into an act of worship. By reciting a supplication before putting on your clothes, you thank Allah for a blessing that many people around the world do not have: possessing clothes to cover and protect themselves.
How to practice this sunnah?
Before putting on your garment, say the supplication learned from the Prophet (peace be upon him). It is recommended to start with the right side. If you are wearing a new garment, there is a specific supplication to thank Allah for granting it to you.
