Five animals are all vicious and harmful and are to be killed (even) inside the Sacred Precincts: the crow, the kite, the scorpion, the mouse, and the mordacious dog

In this Hadīth ‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) informs us that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of five vicious and harmful animals, whether inside the Sacred Precincts boundaries or outside it, and whether the person is in a state of Ihrām or not. Then he mentioned these five animals: the crow, the kite, the scorpion, the mouse, and the mordacious dog (that which is given to biting).

These are five types of animals that were described as vicious for being aggressive and harmful, unlike the rest of the animals. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) enumerated them because they differ in the kind of harm they cause, so other animals that resemble them in harm are included, and are to be killed because of their harm and transgression. Their presence inside the Sacred Precincts does not protect them, and the state of Ihrām does not prevent killing them.
