A woman said to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): Men have taken up all of your time, leaving us no time to ask you about our religious affairs, as they accompany you all day long. So, make a special day for us as women, wherein we can meet with you and you teach us our religion. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) thus, made a special day for them to gather, and the women gathered on that day.
Then he came to them and taught them the knowledge they were in need of from what Allah had taught him. After that he gave them the glad tidings that any woman who has three children – male or female – that pass away, preceding her to the Hereafter, and she is patient and anticipates the reward from Allah, her calamity concerning them will be a protection for her from Hellfire, even if she deserves it due to her sins.
A woman then said: Even if only two died, will she still have the reward of the one whose three children died? The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, even if only two of her children died, her reward will be the same.
