A Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)
عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: كَانَ غُلاَمٌ يَهُودِيٌّ يَخْدُمُ النَّبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَمَرِضَ، فَأتَاهُ النَّبيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُهُ، فَقَعَدَ عِنْدَ رَأسِهِ، فَقَالَ لَه: «أسْلِمْ» فَنَظَرَ إِلَى أبِيهِ وَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ؟، فَقَالَ: أَطِعْ أَبَا القَاسِمِ، فَأسْلَمَ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَقُول: «الحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أنْقَذَهُ منَ النَّارِ».
Explanation
The Hadīth relates to us that a young boy from the Jews, where were living in Madīnah, used to serve the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). The boy fell sick one day, and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) visited him and offered him to embrace Islam. When the boy accepted it, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Praise be to Allah who saved him from the Fire."
