Authentic hadithNarrated by Bukhari & Muslim

The Hour will not be established until a man would pass by the grave of another man and say: 'I wish I were in his place.'

Translation

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until a man would pass by the grave of another man and say: 'I wish I were in his place.'"

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that the Hour will not be established until a man passes by the grave of another and wishes that he were in his place, dead, because of his fear of losing his religion, given the predominance of falsehood and its people, and the prevalence of trials, sins, and wrongdoings.
