During the battle of Mu'tah, nine swords were broken in my hand, and all that remained with me was a Yemeni sword

Khālid ibn al-Walīd (may Allah be pleased with him) who was nicknamed "the sword of Allah", was a great Muslim warrior who boldly attended the battles and led the Muslim armies. He descends from one of the noble tribes of Quraysh in the pre-Islamic times. He accepted Islam before the conquest of Makkah. Khālid ibn al-Walīd participated in the battle of Uhud siding with the polytheists of Makkah, then he accepted Islam.

This, in fact, shows how perfect the Power of Allah, Glorified and Exalted, is and that all matters are in the Hand of Allah who guides whom He wills and sends astray whom He wills. Khālid (may Allah be pleased with him) tells about the swords broken in his hand during the battle of Mu'tah, which reflects his courage and bravery.
