Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqās (may Allah be pleased with him) thought that he had superiority over those beneath him from among the weak because of his bravery and the like. So, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Are you granted victory and provided with sustenance except through your weak ones, through their supplications, prayers, and sincerity?
They are often more sincere in their supplications and more humble in their worship, as their hearts are free from attachment to the adornments of the worldly life.
