Anyone spends a pair in the way of Allah will be called from the gates of Paradise: O slave of Allah, this is good! So, whoever was from the people of prayer will be called from the gate of prayer; whoever was from the people of Jihad will be called from the gate of Jihad
عن أبي هريرة - رضي الله عنه- مرفوعاً: «من أنْفَق زوْجَيْن في سَبيل الله نُودِي من أبْوَاب الجنَّة، يا عبد الله هذا خَيْرٌ، فمن كان من أهل الصلاة دُعِي من باب الصلاة، ومن كان من أهل الجِهاد دُعِي من باب الجِهاد، ومن كان من أهل الصيام دُعِي من باب الرَّيَّانِ، ومن كان من أهل الصَّدَقة دُعِي من باب الصَّدَقة» قال أبو بكر رضي الله عنه : بأبي أنت وأمي يا رسول الله! ما على من دُعِي من تلك الأبواب من ضَرورة، فهل يُدْعَى أحَدٌ من تلك الأبواب كلِّها؟ فقال: «نعم، وأرْجُو أن تكون منهم».
Explanation
Whoever spent in charity two of anything such as food, clothing, means of transport or money, seeking Allah’s pleasure, the angels will call him from the gates of Paradise, welcoming his arrival, saying: You offered a lot of good things for which you will be greatly rewarded today. Those who offer a lot of prayers will be called from the gate of prayer and enter from it. Those who give a lot of charity will be called from the gate of charity and enter from it.
Those who fast a lot will be received at the gate of Ar-Rayyān by the angels who will allow them to enter from it. The meaning of "Ar-Rayyān" is what quenches the thirst, because fasting people abstain from drinking water and consequently become thirsty, especially in the hot long days of summer. Therefore, they will be rewarded for their thirst by quenching it perpetually in Paradise, which they will enter from that gate.
When Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) heard that Hadīth, he said: “O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you! Whoever enters from any of those gates will never miss or lose anything.” Then he said: “Will anyone be called from all of those gates?” So he said: "Yes, and I hope that you will be one of them"
