Authentic hadithNarrated by Muslim
Allah is pleased with one who eats some food and praises Him for it, or drinks some drink and praises Him for it
عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «إِنَّ اللهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْأَكْلَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا».
Explanation
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) points out that praising Allah for His bounty and blessings is one of the ways the servant can win the pleasure of his Lord. He eats food, says "al-hamdulillāh" (praise be to Allah), drinks some drink, and says al-hamdulillāh.
