Indeed, among the most beloved to me and the closest of you to me in position on the Day of Judgment are those of you who have the best morals

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that those who are most beloved to him from among you in this world and the closest to him in position on the Day of Judgment are those of you who have the best morals.

He also stated that those who are most detested from among you to him in this world and farthest from him in position on the Day of Judgment are those with bad morals; (the talkative) who speak excessively and unnecessarily, deviating from the truth; (the pompous) who exaggerate their speech to impress others or to make their words seem more important without careful consideration.

And (the Mutafayhiqūn); they said: O Messenger of Allah, we understand who the talkative and the pompous are, but what about the Mutafayhiqūn? He replied: They are arrogant people who mock others, expanding their speech and opening their mouths therewith.
