Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:9 — translation and meaning

ۖ قُلْ مَا كُنتُ بِدْعًا مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمْ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Qul maa kuntu bid'am minal Rusuli wa maaa adreee ma yuf'alu bee wa laa bikum in attabi'u illaa maa yoohaaa ilaiya ya maaa ana illaa nazeerum mubeen
Translation
Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
O Messenger! Say to these idolaters who reject your prophethood: “I am not the first Messenger Allah has sent, as many messengers came before me. I do not know what Allah will do with me nor what He will do with you in this life. I only follow what Allah reveals to me, so I do not say or do except according to what He reveals. And I am only a warner who clearly warns of His punishment”.
