لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ

Transliteration

Law aradnaaa an nattakhiza lahwal lat takhaznaahu mil ladunnaaa in kunnaa faa'ileen

Translation

Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

If I wanted to take a wife or child, I would have done so on My own part. But I did not do this as I am pure of this.
