فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ أَنجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ السُّوءِ وَأَخَذْنَا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا بِعَذَابٍ بَئِيسٍ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ

فَلَمَّا

they forgot

ذُكِّرُوا

they had been reminded
بِهِ

أَنجَيْنَا

We saved

forbade

[from]
السُّوءِ
al-sui
the evil
وَأَخَذْنَا
wa-akhadhna
and We seized
الَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ظَلَمُوا
zalamu
wronged
بِعَذَابٍ
bi'adhabin
with a punishment
بَئِيسٍ
baisin
wretched
بِمَا
bima
because
كَانُوا
kanu
they were
يَفْسُقُونَ
yafsuquna
defiantly disobeying
