ۖ وَقَالَتْ لِأُخْتِهِ قُصِّيهِ فَبَصُرَتْ بِهِ عَن جُنُبٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Transliteration

Wa qaalat li ukhtihee qusseehi fabasurat bihee 'an junubinw wahum laa yash'uroon

Translation

And she said to his sister, "Follow him"; so she watched him from a distance while they perceived not.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

And after she had cast him into the sea, Moses’s mother said to his sister, “Follow him so that you know what happens to him”, and so she observed him from a distance so that she was not implicated. Pharaoh and his people were not aware that she was his sister and that she was keeping an eye on him.
