Surah Al-Waqi'a 56:85 — translation and meaning
الواقعة · Verse 85 / 96 · Page 537
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
Word by Word
وَنَحْنُ
wanahnu
And We
أَقْرَبُ
aqrabu
(are) nearer
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to him
مِنكُمْ
minkum
than you
وَلَكِن
walakin
but
لَّا
la
you (do) not see
تُبْصِرُونَ
tub'siruna
you (do) not see
Transliteration
Wa nahnu aqrabu ilaihi minkum wa laakil laa tubsiroon
Translation
And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
whilst My angels are closer to the dying person than you are, but you do not see them...
