Surah An-Nahl 16:122 — translation and meaning
النحل · Verse 122 / 128 · Page 281
ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

وَآتَيْنَاهُ

And We gave him

حَسَنَةً
hasanatan
good
وَإِنَّهُ
wa-innahu
and indeed he
فِي

الْآخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
لَمِنَ
lamina
(he) will surely (be) among
الصَّالِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
Transliteration
Wa aatainaahu fid dunyaa hasanah; wa innahoo fil Aakhirati laminas saaliheen
Translation
And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
I gave him in this world prophethood, praiseworthy mention and pious children. In the afterlife he will be from the righteous for whom Allah has prepared the highest ranks in paradise.
