Surah An-Nahl 16:15 — translation and meaning

وَأَلْقَى فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَارًا وَسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

تَهْتَدُونَ
tahtaduna
be guided

Transliteration

Wa alqaa fil ardi rawaasiya an tameeda bikum wa anhaaranw wa sublulal la 'allakum tahtadoon

Translation

And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided,

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

He spread out mountains on earth to keep it firm so that it does not shake and cause you to become unsettled. He caused rivers to flow so that you can drink from them and give water to your livestock and crops. He split in it pathways for you to tread and reach your destinations without losing your way.
