Surah An-Nahl 16:5 — translation and meaning

ۗ وَالْأَنْعَامَ خَلَقَهَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌ وَمَنَافِعُ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

And the cattle
خَلَقَهَا

He created them
لَكُمْ

فِيهَا

دِفْءٌ

(is) warmth
وَمَنَافِعُ
wamanafi'u
and benefits
وَمِنْهَا
wamin'ha
and from them
تَأْكُلُونَ
takuluna
you eat

Transliteration

Wal an 'amaa khalaqahaa; lakum feehaa dif'unw wa manaafi'u wa minhaa taakuloon

Translation

And the grazing livestock He has created for you; in them is warmth and [numerous] benefits, and from them you eat.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

He also created livestock such as camels, cattle and goats for your benefit - O People. Some of these benefits include deriving warmth from their wool and hair and other benefits from their milk, skin and backs. Some of them serve as food that you eat.
