Surah An-Nahl 16:64 — translation and meaning

ۙ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Wa maaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba illaa litubaiyina lahumul lazikh talafoo feehi wa hudanw wa rahmatal liqawminy yu'minoon
Translation
And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
We did not reveal the Qur’ān to you, O Messenger, except for you to make clear to all people what they differ about in respect of Allah’s oneness, resurrection and the details of the sacred law, and for the Qur’ān to be a guidance and mercy for those who have faith in Allah, His Messengers and all what the Qur’ān came with, for they are the ones who will truly benefit.
