An-Naml 27:49
النمل · Verse 49 / 93 · Page 381
قَالُوا تَقَاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
Word by Word
قَالُوا
qalu
They said
تَقَاسَمُوا
taqasamu
Swear to each other
بِاللَّهِ
bil-lahi
by Allah
لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ
lanubayyitannahu
surely we will attack him by night
وَأَهْلَهُ
wa-ahlahu
and his family
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
لَنَقُولَنَّ
lanaqulanna
we will surely say
لِوَلِيِّهِ
liwaliyyihi
to his heir
مَا
ma
Not
شَهِدْنَا
shahid'na
we witnessed
مَهْلِكَ
mahlika
(the) destruction
أَهْلِهِ
ahlihi
(of) his family
وَإِنَّا
wa-inna
and indeed we
لَصَادِقُونَ
lasadiquna
(are) surely truthful."
