Surah Ash-Shu'ara 26:190 — translation and meaning

ۖ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Transliteration

Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

Translation

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Indeed, in the aforementioned i.e. the destruction of the people of Shu‘ayb, is a lesson for those who take heed. Although most of them do not believe; they were rejecters.
