Surah Az-Zukhruf 43:35 — translation and meaning

ۚ ۚ وَزُخْرُفًا وَإِن كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

الْحَيَاةِ
al-hayati
(of) the life
الدُّنْيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَالْآخِرَةُ
wal-akhiratu
And the Hereafter
عِندَ
inda
with
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
(is) for the righteous

Transliteration

Wa zukhrufaa; wa in kullu zaalika lammaa mataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa; wal aakhiratu 'inda Rabbika lilmuttaqeen

Translation

And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

I would also give them gold. All that is only the temporary enjoyment of the world; its benefit is little because of its ultimate extinction. However O Messenger, the bounties of the afterlife are better according to your Lord, for those who are mindful of Him by fulfilling His commands and refrain from that which He has prohibited.
