Surah Ghafir 40:17 — translation and meaning

ۚ ۚ الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَا ظُلْمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Al-Yawma tujzaa kullu nafsim bimaa kasabat; laa zulmal Yawm; innal laaha saree'ul hisaab
Translation
This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
Today, every soul will be rewarded for the action it earned: if it was good, then the reward will be good, and if it was bad, then it will be bad. There will be no injustice on this day, because the judge is Allah who is Just. Allah is swift in taking account of His servants, due to His knowledge encompassing them.
