ۖ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ الْقُرَى نَقُصُّهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا قَائِمٌ وَحَصِيدٌ

Transliteration

Zaalika min ambaaa'il quraa naqussuhoo 'alaika minhaa qaaa'imunw wa haseed

Translation

That is from the news of the cities, which We relate to you; of them, some are [still] standing and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down].

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

I inform you, O Messenger, of the incidents of the towns that have been mentioned in this sūrah. The landmarks of some of these towns still exist and the landmarks of others have been wiped out without any trace.
