Surah Hud 11:103 — translation and meaning

ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّمَنْ خَافَ عَذَابَ الْآخِرَةِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَّجْمُوعٌ لَّهُ النَّاسُ وَذَلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَّشْهُودٌ

Transliteration

Inna fee zaalika la aayatal liman khaafa 'azaabal Aakhirah; zaalika Yawmum majmoo'ul lahun naasu wa zaalika Yawmum mashhood

Translation

Indeed in that is a sign for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which the people will be collected, and that is a Day [which will be] witnessed.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

In Allah’s severe punishment of those disobedient towns there is a lesson and warning for the one who fears the punishment of the Day of Judgement. Allah will gather people on that day to take them to account, and it will be witnessed by all people on the plains of the resurrection.
