Yaa qawmi laaa as'alukum 'alaihi ajran in ajriya illaa 'alal lazee fataranee; afalaa ta'qiloon

Translation

O my people, I do not ask you for it any reward. My reward is only from the one who created me. Then will you not reason?

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Hūd told his people that he asked for no reward from them for what he conveyed from his Lord, calling them to it, and that his reward was only from Allah Who created him. Would they not think about this, and respond to what he called them to?
