وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيًّا

Transliteration

Wa kaana yaamuru ahlahoo bis Salaati waz zakaati wa kaana 'inda Rabbihee mardiyyaa

Translation

And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakah and was to his Lord pleasing.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

He used to instruct his household to keep up the prayer and to give Zakat, and his Lord was well pleased with him.
