Surah Muhammad 47:2 — translation and meaning

ۙ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَآمَنُوا بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ

وَالَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
آمَنُوا
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُوا
wa'amilu
and do
الصَّالِحَاتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
وَآمَنُوا
waamanu
and believe
بِمَا
bima
in what
نُزِّلَ
nuzzila
is revealed
عَلَى
ala
to
مُحَمَّدٍ
muhammadin
Muhammad
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
الْحَقُّ
al-haqu
(is) the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
their Lord
كَفَّرَ
kaffara
He will remove
عَنْهُمْ
anhum
from them
سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ
sayyiatihim
their misdeeds
وَأَصْلَحَ
wa-aslaha
and improve
بَالَهُمْ
balahum
their condition

Transliteration

Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati wa aamanoo bimaa nuzzila 'alaa Muhammadinw-wa huwal haqqu mir Rabbihim kaffara 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa aslaha baalahum

Translation

And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Those who have faith in Allah and do righteous deeds, and have faith in what Allah has revealed to His Messenger Muhammad - and what He has revealed to His Messenger Muhammad is the truth from their Lord - He will remit from them their wrongdoings and wont take them to task, and He will set right their affairs in this world and the Hereafter.
