ۖ ۚ أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ

Transliteration
Ahum khayrun am qawmu Tubba'inw wallazeena min qablihim; ahlaknaahum innahum kaanoo mujrimeen
Translation
Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
O Messenger! Are these denying idolaters stronger and more resistant, or the people of Tubba‘ and those after them like the ‘Ād and Thamūd? I destroyed them all. Indeed, they were criminals.
