ۖ إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ

Transliteration

Iz dakhaloo 'alaihi faqaaloo salaaman qaala salaamun qawmum munkaroon

Translation

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

When they came to him and said, ٌ”Peace”. Abraham said in reply: “Peace”, and he said to himself: “These are people we do not recognise”.
