Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:46 — translation and meaning

ۖ وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ

Transliteration
Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaano qawman faasiqeen
Translation
And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
And I destroyed the people of Noah through flooding before these who have been mentioned. They were a people who left the obedience of Allah, so they deserved His punishment.
