Al-An'am 6:146
الأنعام · Verse 146 / 165 · Page 147
ۚ ۖ ۖ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَا إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَا أَوِ الْحَوَايَا أَوْ مَا اخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ذَلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ

وَعَلَى
wa'ala
And to
الَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
هَادُوا
hadu
are Jews
حَرَّمْنَا
harramna
We forbade
كُلَّ
kulla
every
ذِي
dhi
(animal) with
ظُفُرٍ
zufurin
claws
وَمِنَ
wamina
and of
الْبَقَرِ
al-baqari
the cows
وَالْغَنَمِ
wal-ghanami
and the sheep
حَرَّمْنَا
harramna
We forbade
عَلَيْهِمْ
alayhim
to them
شُحُومَهُمَا
shuhumahuma
their fat
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَا
ma
what
حَمَلَتْ
hamalat
carried
ظُهُورُهُمَا
zuhuruhuma
their backs
أَوِ
awi
or
الْحَوَايَا
al-hawaya
the entrails
أَوْ
aw
or
مَا
ma
what
اخْتَلَطَ
ikh'talata
(is) joined
بِعَظْمٍ
bi'azmin
with the bone
ذَلِكَ
dhalika
That
جَزَيْنَاهُم
jazaynahum
(is) their recompense
بِبَغْيِهِمْ
bibaghyihim
for their rebellion
وَإِنَّا
wa-inna
And indeed, We
لَصَادِقُونَ
lasadiquna
[surely] are truthful
