Surah Al-Furqan 25:54 — translation and meaning
الفرقان · Verse 54 / 77 · Page 364
ۗ وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا
Word by Word
Transliteration
Wa Huwal lazee khalaqa minal maaa'i basharran fa ja'alahoo nasaban wa sihraa; wa kaana Rabbuka Qadeeraa
Translation
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
It is He who created human beings from the semen of men and women. By creating human beings He established the relationship of kinship by blood and relationship by marriage. Your Lord is all powerful and Nothing is outside His ability. It is through His Power that He created man from the semen of a man and woman.
