ۚ ۖ ۖ وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ عَلَى حَرْفٍ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ اطْمَأَنَّ بِهِ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ انقَلَبَ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ خَسِرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةَ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبِينُ

يَعْبُدُ

worships
اللَّهَ

an edge
فَإِنْ
fa-in
And if
أَصَابَهُ
asabahu
befalls him
خَيْرٌ
khayrun
good
اطْمَأَنَّ
it'ma-anna
he is content
بِهِ
bihi
with it
وَإِنْ
wa-in
and if
أَصَابَتْهُ
asabathu
befalls him
فِتْنَةٌ
fit'natun
a trial
انقَلَبَ
inqalaba
he turns
عَلَى
ala
on
وَجْهِهِ
wajhihi
his face
خَسِرَ
khasira
He has lost
الدُّنْيَا
al-dun'ya
the world
وَالْآخِرَةَ
wal-akhirata
and the Hereafter
ذَلِكَ
dhalika
That
هُوَ
huwa
[it]
الْخُسْرَانُ
al-khus'ranu
(is) the loss
الْمُبِينُ
al-mubinu
