Surah Al-Hajj 22:72 — translation and meaning

ۗ ۗ ۖ ۖ وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمُنكَرَ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِالَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَلِكُمُ النَّارُ وَعَدَهَا اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Wa izaa tutlaa 'laihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin ta'rifu fee wujoohil lazeena kafarul munkara yakaadoona yastoona bil lazeena yatloona 'alaihim Aayaatinaa; qul afa unab bi'ukum bisharrim min zaalikum; an Naaru wa 'adahal laahul lazeena kafaroo wa bi'sal maseer
Translation
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that? [It is] the Fire which Allah has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination."
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
When you recite My clear verses of the Qur’ān unto them, you will recognise the objecting frowns of the disbelievers when they hear them. It is as if they would violently assault those who recite My verses unto them in extreme anger. O Messenger! Say to them: “Shall I inform you of something which is worse than this anger and frowning of yours? It is the hellfire which Allah has promised to enter the disbelievers into. How terrible their abode is!”
