Surah Al-Isra 17:101 — translation and meaning

ۖ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى تِسْعَ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ فَاسْأَلْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَامُوسَى مَسْحُورًا

Transliteration

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosaa tis'a Aayaatim baiyinaatin fas'al Baneee Israaa'eela iz jaaa'ahum faqaala lahoo Fir'awnu inee la azunnuka yaa Moosaa mas hooraa

Translation

And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs, so ask the Children of Israel [about] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, "Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are affected by magic."

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

I granted Moses nine clear proofs which bore testimony for him. They are the staff, the hand, the famine, decrease in fruits, the hurricane, locusts, lice, frogs and blood. O Messenger, ask the Jews when Moses brought these miracles to their predecessors and Pharaoh said: I see you, O Moses, as a man afflicted by magic, as you bring strange things.
