وَقَالُوا أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا

Is it when

عِظَامًا

bones
وَرُفَاتًا
warufatan
and crumbled particles
أَإِنَّا
a-inna
will we
لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
lamab'uthuna
surely (be) resurrected
خَلْقًا
khalqan
(as) a creation
جَدِيدًا
jadidan
new

Transliteration

Wa qaalooo'a izaa kunnaa 'izaamanw wa rufaatan 'a innaa lamab'oosoona khalqan jadeedaa

Translation

And they say, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we [truly] be resurrected as a new creation?"

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

The idolaters said in denial of resurrection: When we die and become bones and our bodies decompose, will we be resurrected again? This is impossible.
