ۚ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِذْ أَوَيْنَا إِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فَإِنِّي نَسِيتُ الْحُوتَ وَمَا أَنسَانِيهُ إِلَّا الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَهُ وَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ عَجَبًا

قَالَ
qala
He said
أَرَأَيْتَ
ara-ayta
Did you see
إِذْ
idh
when
أَوَيْنَا

we retired
إِلَى
ila
to
الصَّخْرَةِ
al-sakhrati
the rock
فَإِنِّي
fa-inni
Then indeed I
نَسِيتُ

الْحُوتَ

أَنسَانِيهُ

made me forget it
إِلَّا

except
الشَّيْطَانُ
al-shaytanu
the Shaitaan

I mention it
وَاتَّخَذَ
wa-ittakhadha
And it took
سَبِيلَهُ
sabilahu
its way
فِي
fi
into
الْبَحْرِ
al-bahri
the sea
