ۖ قَالَ إِن سَأَلْتُكَ عَن شَيْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِي قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِن لَّدُنِّي عُذْرًا

Transliteration

Qaala in sa altuka 'an shai'im ba'dahaa falaa tusaahibnee qad balaghta mil ladunnee 'uzraa

Translation

[Moses] said, "If I should ask you about anything after this, then do not keep me as a companion. You have obtained from me an excuse."

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Moses (peace be upon him) said to Khidr: “Forgive me a second time. But if I ask you about anything after this time, then leave me, for you would have reached the limit, for which you can be excused for leaving my company, as I would have opposed your command three times”.
