وَلَوْ كَانُوا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالنَّبِيِّ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ

And if

they had
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believed
بِاللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَالنَّبِيِّ
wal-nabiyi
and the Prophet
وَمَا
wama
and what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
has been revealed
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to him
مَا
ma
not
اتَّخَذُوهُمْ
ittakhadhuhum
they (would have) taken them
أَوْلِيَاءَ
awliyaa
(as) allies
وَلَكِنَّ
walakinna
[and] but
كَثِيرًا
kathiran
many
مِّنْهُمْ
min'hum
of them
فَاسِقُونَ
fasiquna
(are) defiantly disobedient
