Surah Al-Ma'ida 5:92 — translation and meaning
المائدة · Verse 92 / 120 · Page 123
ۚ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا عَلَى رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Wa atee'ul laaha wa atee'ur Rasoola wahzaroo; fa in tawal laitum fa'lamooo annamaa 'alaa Rasoolinal balaaghul mubeen
Translation
And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. And if you turn away - then know that upon Our Messenger is only [the responsibility for] clear notification.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
Follow God and follow the Messenger by fulfilling the instructions of the Sacred Law and avoiding its prohibitions. Be careful of breaking the law. If you turn away from this, know that the duty of Messenger is only to convey to you what God has instructed him to, and He has already done so. If you come on to the right path it is for your own good. If you do wrong it will be to your detriment.
