ۗ ۚ كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُم مِّنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

لِلنَّاسِ

for the mankind
تَأْمُرُونَ
tamuruna
enjoining
بِالْمَعْرُوفِ
bil-ma'rufi
the right
وَتَنْهَوْنَ
watanhawna
and forbidding
عَنِ
ani
[from]
الْمُنكَرِ
al-munkari
the wrong
وَتُؤْمِنُونَ
watu'minuna
and believing
بِاللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
آمَنَ
amana
believed
أَهْلُ
ahlu
(the) People
الْكِتَابِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
لَكَانَ
lakana
surely would have been
خَيْرًا
khayran
good
لَّهُم
lahum
for them
مِّنْهُمُ
min'humu
Among them
الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
al-mu'minuna
(are) the believers
وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ
wa-aktharuhumu
but most of them
الْفَاسِقُونَ
al-fasiquna
(are) defiantly disobedient
