Surah Ali 'Imran 3:133 — translation and meaning
آل عمران · Verse 133 / 200 · Page 67
وَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Word by Word
وَسَارِعُوا
wasari'u
And hasten
إِلَى
ila
to
مَغْفِرَةٍ
maghfiratin
forgiveness
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
rabbikum
your Lord
وَجَنَّةٍ
wajannatin
and a Garden
عَرْضُهَا
arduha
its width
السَّمَاوَاتُ
al-samawatu
(is like that of) the heavens
وَالْأَرْضُ
wal-ardu
and the earth
أُعِدَّتْ
u'iddat
prepared
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
for the pious
Transliteration
Wa saari'ooo ilaa maghfiratim mir Rabbikum wa Jannatin arduhassamaawaatu wal ardu u'iddat lilmuttaqeen
Translation
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
Rush to do good actions, and draw near to Allah through doing as He instructs, so that you achieve the great forgiveness of Allah and enter a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, which Allah has prepared for the Mindful.
