Surah An-Nahl 16:43 — translation and meaning
النحل · Verse 43 / 128 · Page 272
ۚ وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika illaa rijaalan nooheee ilaihim; fas'alooo ahlaz zikri in kuntum laa ta'lamoon
Translation
And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
I did not send before you - O Messenger - except men who were human beings, to whom I sent revelation. I did not send Messengers that were angels. This is Our constant practice. If you all deny that then ask the people of the previous scriptures and they will tell you that Messengers were on;y human beings.
