ۚ ۚ ۖ ۚ ۚ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَةٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَاحْتَمَلَ السَّيْلُ زَبَدًا رَّابِيًا وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِي النَّارِ ابْتِغَاءَ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَاعٍ زَبَدٌ مِّثْلُهُ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْحَقَّ وَالْبَاطِلَ فَأَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَاءً وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ

according to their measure
فَاحْتَمَلَ
fa-ih'tamala
and carries
السَّيْلُ
al-saylu
the torrent
زَبَدًا
zabadan
a foam
رَّابِيًا
rabiyan
rising
وَمِمَّا
wamimma
And from what
يُوقِدُونَ
yuqiduna
they heat
عَلَيْهِ
alayhi
[on] it
فِي
fi
in
النَّارِ
al-nari
the fire
ابْتِغَاءَ
ib'tighaa
in order to make
حِلْيَةٍ
hil'yatin
ornaments
أَوْ
aw
or
مَتَاعٍ
mata'in
utensils
زَبَدٌ
zabadun
a foam
مِّثْلُهُ
mith'luhu
like it
كَذَلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يَضْرِبُ
yadribu
sets forth
اللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
الْحَقَّ
al-haqa
the truth
وَالْبَاطِلَ
wal-batila
and the falsehood
فَأَمَّا
fa-amma
Then as for
الزَّبَدُ
al-zabadu
the foam
فَيَذْهَبُ
fayadhhabu
it passes away
جُفَاءً
jufaan
(as) scum
وَأَمَّا
wa-amma
and as for
مَا
ma
what
يَنفَعُ
yanfa'u
benefits
النَّاسَ
al-nasa
the mankind
فَيَمْكُثُ
fayamkuthu
remains
فِي
fi
in
الْأَرْضِ
al-ardi
the earth
كَذَلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يَضْرِبُ
yadribu
Allah sets forth
اللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah sets forth
الْأَمْثَالَ
al-amthala
