ۚ أَفَمَن كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَن كَانَ فَاسِقًا لَّا يَسْتَوُونَ

Transliteration

Afaman kaana mu'minan kaman kaana faasiqaa; laa yasta woon

Translation

Then is one who was a believer like one who was defiantly disobedient? They are not equal.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

The one who believes in Allah, acts upon His commands and refrains from that which he is prohibited from, is not like the one who disobeys Him. The two groups are not equal in terms of requital according to Allah.
